Americký film: The jádro

Sám a bez sebe,
motám se ve tmě.
Mávám kolem Tebe,
prosím, veď mě.
Všechno tak vzdálené,
ztrácí se v dáli…
…kde jsou Ti andělé,
jak mi je vzali.

Odjíždím ke králi,
sám a bez sebe,
v naději, že objevím
jednou zas nebe.

Did you know…

…that french language does not have a word for 70, 80 or 90? For 70, they say “soixante-dix” – which stands for “sixty ten”. For 80 – “quatre-vingt” – “four times twenty” and guess what for 90. Quatre-vingt-dix!

What about your language?

Myth busted!

There is one funny thing, that I noticed during the time I had my arms fixed. As you can imagine, it was not easy to drink without a straw. It was rather impossible. So I had to drink everything with a straw. Coffee, tea, milk, juice and of course beer. I was really surprised, how many people think, that drinking beer with a straw makes it much stronger. Even my former chemistry teacher said so! It is just different kind of liquid transportation. So what I found out is – it really doesn’t make it stronger.

One beer is still one beer.

The only advantage

Tommorow the casts are going to be taken out of me. I won’t miss them, though. The only thing I like about them is that you can use them as a notebook. Will have to use papers, I guess.

Zahřej mne

Být bohatý a dávat,
stát se chudým…
…přesto nedostávat.

Tak málo
dvě tři slova
by zahřálo.

Taková zima.

Czechbury?

A few months ago, when I was in London, I used to buy Cadbury chocolate as I got addicted to its taste. One day I was nibbling the chocolate on the tube and there was this funny thing that I noticed. You can see that on the top of the picture – there is a czech phrase „Čistá hmotnost“ that stands for „Weight“.

čistá hmotnost

As you can see, Cadbury is an english chocolate and there is no reason for having any czech words on it. I can think of only one explanation. Nowadays, there is a lot of czech people in England and they work just everywhere. And that would be no surprise for me if one of them designed this package and thought of having fun writing something in Czech.

A visit

Today I was on a visit in my friends place. At thr moment when I turned up he was finishing cleaning his garage – so, I had to wait a few minutes. I was just hanging around talking to him, when I touched something. Something, that made me jump.

As soon as I removed my trapped hand from the mouse trap, I started thinking about the feelings, which it evoked. At first I felt surprise. Not a pleasant surprise, because I was sure that it is no good to get caught as a mouse even if you are not a mouse at all. The second feeling was a nice surprise, that it was not really painful at all (at that moment I must have looked really stupid, examining my imprisoned fingers). The next feeling was pleasure. I realized, that it was not bad at all – it was rather pleasant.

So I decided to try that again.

It was not really that good anymore.

Eating

krmení

As you can imagine, it is not easy to do common things when having both arms fixed. Most of the time I am fed by my mum or by my brother, but some kinds of meals I am able to eat on my own. Nice, in it?
